Global Information Systems Senior Manager, Product Quality, Safety and Innovation

 

Location: Benton Harbor, MI

 

Position opening to join our Global Information Systems organization. This role is accountable for the strategy and execution of work supporting:

  • Global Product Quality, Product Safety and Product Innovation information systems capabilities at the Corporation. 

  • Business Relationship Management partnering with the global product quality, safety and innovation business functions.

  • Information Systems program management of multiple small and large projects supporting the strategy.

  • People development and management.


Day to Day

  • Build and manage relationships as a trusted partner with Product Quality, Product Safety and Global Innovation business leaders and regional counterparts.

  • Drive and develop multi-year information technology strategies in support of business vision.

  • Manage and deliver large scale, global, and strategic programs involving annual planning/budgeting, project kick-off, charter development, requirements development, and business process mapping; supporting the vendor selection process (when applicable), managing issues, risks, and change control; managing program schedules, budget, and scope.

  • Manage, coach, and develop team members on their day to day work. Drive engagement and create team-building opportunities.

  • Organizational change management including sponsorship, driving awareness and embedment of key programs and projects.

  • Plan and manage program financial and people resources.

  • Identify and execute on continuous improvement projects driving efficiency in the organization.

  • Can translate business language into technical actions and vice versa

  • Ability to manage conflict and changing priorities

  • Has driven organizational change management through process improvement initiatives

  • Influential leader that partners well with all areas of the business

  • Has spent significant time coaching, mentoring, and developing members of the organization to continue to grow and develop technical aptitude

  • Has led global team of internal and contracted staff to execute departmental efforts, focused on mentoring and development of employees for continued career development

  • Has managed a cost center, a program budget or a P&L

  • Has a proven track record in understanding P&L and general business financials

  • Capable of creating and selling a business case

  • Bachelor's degree 

  • Experience with people management and engaging with global teams

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate through all levels of the organization

  • Industry knowledge of product quality, product safety capabilities, product/business innovation and product development processes [preferred]

  • In depth experience working with information systems development life cycles including waterfall and Agile

  • Strong analytical skills, experience solving practical issues, ability to engage and drive consensus among disparate process partners

  • Excellent knowledge of business tools such as financial analysis, process design and productivity measurements

  • Helpful to have ITIL or PMI foundations

  • Possess and display sound judgment, initiative, flexibility and detail-orientation

  • Business Relationship Management mindset (customer oriented)

  • Self-starter, continuous learner and a thought leader with great ability to communicate with and influence several levels of the organization

  • Some domestic and international travel will be required

Need to have experience with quality systems and quality improvements, global experience, change management, budgets, and leadership.
