Accounting Manager


The Accounting Manager is responsible for the following overall financial activities:

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:

  • Month and year-end process

  • Accounts payable/receivable

  • Payroll and utilities

  • Cash forecasting

  • Revenue and expenditure variance analysis

  • Capital assets reconciliations

  • Check runs

Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements

  • Supervises, directs, and reviews work of accounting staff

  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles

  • Coordinate and complete annual audits

  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close

  • Ensure the monthly and quarterly bank compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner

  • Responds to inquiries from parent company CFO and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like

  • Skills and experience required:

  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations

  • Proven track record (min. 2 years) of accounting manager position in a small / mid-size company. HR knowledge/experience a plus

  • BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting, CPA required

  • Experience with Epicor accounting system a plus. Must also have strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Working experience with outsourced payroll services
