Job Description: Job Summary
As a Patient Access Manager you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of all registration areas which include the Emergency Department, Surgical and Outpatient departments as well as serve as the liaison for Parallon Revenue Cycle and the hospital.
• Manage and assist a staff of Registrars and Financial Counselors that are performing patient account registrations, insurance company authorizations, and financial conversations. Oversite of the electronic devices and portable bedside registration equipment to ensure appropriate utilization and functionality.
Calculate and assist with procedure cost and price estimates for patients, with collection of applicable amounts due.
Provide continuous training and conduct employee meetings to ensure competencies and goals are met, leading to the best patient experience.
Prepare payroll and completes monthly work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels within budgeted allocations.
Engage and maintain positive relationships with hospital leadership, staff, and departments.
Required Skills: Qualifications
Bachelors Degree required
Minimum 3 years management exp in an acute care setting
Patient Access experience is required
