Account Development Manager

 

Purpose: Retain and develop existing portfolio.  Increase customer base by cold calling and adding new customers to their portfolio. Emphasis on sales of LED lighting and Data, experience a plus; however not required.

Account Development Manager Duties:

This is a very dynamic role.  The Account Development Manager will be responsible and handle various aspects related to the account. Role details below; our company offers the opportunity for six figure earnings.

1. Hunter

  • Require high volume of business to business outbound calls.  Those calls include cold calls, following up on prospects, customer retention.

  • Use the search engines to generate leads like; Switch board, yahoo or google.

  • Each Account Manager is provided with their territories for cold calling.

  • Each Account manager will be presented with a quota for new accounts that need to be acquired monthly and a dollar amount.

  • Have highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of any organization.

  • Qualify the prospect and make the introduction.

  • Set appointments with prospects whether to meet with them face to face if they are local or to book their time for a presentation over the phone.

  • Have a consultative selling approach.

  • During those calls we are to identify the prospects pain and be able to present them with the solutions hence a sale.

  • To be able to build and manage a prospect sheet.

 

2. Manage and grow existing portfolio

  • Build relationships with existing clientele.

  • Handle inbound calls.

  • Have strong time management skills and be able to manage multiple accounts.

  • Monitor and analyze each account performance to be able to identify growth.

  • Prepare a yearly business plan – Business plans include a Portfolio performance analysis for the present year and projection for the coming year.

  • Inform Existing clients with all new product coming in.

  • Inquire and uncover their needs for new product that we can research and evaluate for production.

  • Answer their emails and questions in a timely manner.

 

 

3. Customer Service – Handle customers’ demands that include and not limited to;

  • Quality concerns, report to managements all quality concerns and update customer on progress.

  • Create an RMA for the customer if necessary for returns

  • new product demand,

  • quotes,

  • Provide customer with their tracking information as requested by them.

  • make sure that the account information is accurate and current

  • Send credit applications upon request.

  • Fax the references provided by the customer to request for credit information.

  • Collect all information and submit to management for approval.

  • Work with accounting to handle invoice disputes if necessary

 

4. Processing orders.

  • The Account Manager will be responsible in entering the sales order in the system and making sure that all the items on the order are accurate as well as the pricing.

  • Will notify the customer if any of the items on the order is on back order and provide them with an ETA – Estimated time of arrival.

  • Find out when the product on back order will be in and once it arrives to contact the customer and inform them of shipping after processing the back order.

 

  1. Development and training-

  • Participate in all training provided by the company.

  • Practice and develop skills

  • Attend workshops, seminars or conference if available upon approval.

 

Skills/Qualifications: Meeting Sales Goals, Negotiation, Selling to Customer

Needs, Motivation for Sales, Sales Planning, Building Relationships,

Market Knowledge, others as needed.

 

Requirements:

B.S. Degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience (at least 2 years business to business sales) required.

Proven track record of ability to sell and develop business accounts

Previous experience or knowledge of Voice and Data business is a plus

Must be able to show demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

Must have a strong understanding of sales principles and territorial management

Must be a team player with a positive attitude and able to demonstrate excellent customer service and have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in the use of Excel, word and power point.

Must have strong work ethic
