Compensation: $77,000.00 - $104,000.00Privately held global energy company, located in The Woodlands, TX, is seeking an Industrial Process Construction Engineer (Mechanical or Chemical Degreed) to manage all technical aspects of the implementation of several particulate pollution control projects and will potentially also oversee one or more large cogeneration projects for existing industrial processes, including waste heat recovery boilers, flue gas treatment systems and electrical power generation systems.
Scope of Duties:
Coordinate completion of process designs and assure compatibility of new systems with existing processes. Coordinate documentation of the existing process and controls when required. Prepare AFEs for proposed projects, including scope documents and construction estimates. Evaluate construction methods, alternatives and proposals and make recommendations to management for selection of contractors. Directly supervise craft personnel on small projects. Establish Quality Assurance programs for each project.

- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in industrial design and construction; experience of 5 to15 years is preferred.
- Fully capable of directing engineering and construction activities in multiple engineering disciplines with minimal oversight.
- Perfectly fluent in the spoken and written English language; Spanish language capability, both written and spoken, would be an asset.
- Candidate must be capable of climbing stairs and vertical ladders unassisted and must generally have the visual acuity and the physical mobility and dexterity required to conduct technical inspections in a multi-storey industrial plant.

CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER / DIVISION MANAGER
As the Construction Department Head/Engineer you will be responsible to provide overall administrative and technical direction for the administrative, field and engineering staff in the department, as well as land development projects and to oversee total construction management to ensure that the projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. You will interface with client representatives, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, etc. In addition you will plan, coordinate, and supervise field activities of field employees on assigned project(s); coordinate inspections and preconstruction meetings; and attend various bid openings and district meetings. You will also be responsible for obtaining signatures for contracts; processing pay estimates and change orders; preparing bid tabulations; and maintaining official project log, bond issue and project files.
P.E. registration required.
This position requires strong project management and leadership skills.
Candidates must have a BS degree from an accredited university with an emphasis in Civil Engineering/Construction Management.
You must have a detailed understanding of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods, procedures, and standards) and subdivision grading, streets, sewage, storm drains, and public works.
Experience in wastewater treatment plant expansions, underground utilities, paving projects, ground storage tanks, elevated storage tanks, water wells, sewer rehabilitation and project management software is a plus.
Ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of construction engineering experience with progressive management experience with office and field personnel, the ability to identify work priorities, and function with very little supervision.
Must have managed group of 5 or more throughout career progression.
